PgMP certification is rolled out by the Project Management Institute, and it validates your skill as a Program Manager.
There are 2 stages to obtain the coveted PgMP certification:
- Review process by a panel comprising of PgMP certified professionals. The panel evaluates the Product Management experience mentioned in the application.
- Multiple-choice exam comprising of 170 questions.
Acquiring a PgMP credential is more than just obtaining a new title. A Program Manager certified professional is expected to possess leadership, resource management, and team building skills.

You need to earn 60 PDUs in 3 years to maintain the PgMP certification. You can earn PDUs by participating in training provided by a training partner of the Project Management Institute (PMI).
